JFE Shoji Electronics Corporation[4] (JFE商事エレクトロニクス株式会社, Jeiefuī Shoji Erekutoronikusu Kabushiki-gaisha) is an electronics[5] trading company[6] of the JFE[7] Shoji Group headquartered in Otemachi[8], Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo[9]
Overview
[edit]The DS (Device Solutions) Sales Division handles integrated circuits[10] and other semiconductor[11]-related products and solutions, while the FS (Factory Solutions) Sales Division handles surface mounting machines[12] and other equipment and solutions. In April 2024[13], the DX Business Promotion Center was newly established. Despite being a trading company, they have a large number of engineers[14].
With two overseas branches (Singapore[15] and Taipei[16]) and five subsidiaries[17] (Malaysia[18], Thailand[19], China[20], Hong Kong[21], and Vietnam[22]), the company has 13 offices in eight countries, and is positioned as the only electronics trading company in the JFE Group.
History
[edit]1986[23] - Started electronics business in Kawatetsu Shoji's Development Division with Semiconductor Group, SMT[24] Team (mounting machines), Industrial Equipment Team, etc.
1991[25] - The Electronics Division was established in Kawatetsu Shoji. Semiconductor Sales Department" and "Industrial Equipment Sales Department" were established.
1994[26] - Kawasho Engineering Services Malaysia Sdn.Bhd., the current local subsidiary in Malaysia[18] was established.
1996[27] - Kawasho Engineering Services (Thailand[19]) Limited, the current local subsidiary in Thailand was established.
2002[28] - Kawasho Electronics Corporation was established and SMT and cleaning businesses were transferred.
2004[29] - JFE Shoji Holdings[30], Inc. was established. Kawasho Semiconductor Corporation was established by dividing the company by business segment (steel, food, semiconductors, and real estate) and became a subsidiary of JFE Shoji Holdings, Inc.[30]
2005[31] - Kawasho Semiconductor Hong Kong Limited, the current Hong Kong subsidiary, was established.
2011[32]- JFE Shoji Corporation announced the termination of its holding company[33] structure and Kawasho Semiconductor Corporation and Kawasho Electronics Corporation were merged to form JFE Shoji Electronics Corporation.
2018[34] - JFE Shoji Electronics Vietnam Co.,Ltd. was established in Vietnam.
2022[35] - head office was moved from 2-7-1 Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo to 2-2-1 Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo
