The islamic Front in Aleppo was a joint operations room made up of Islamist factions during the battle of Allepo from 2015-2016.

The creation of such operations rooms across Syria was for various islamist factions to better coordinate attacks on government positions led by president Bashar al-Assad.

At its founding the Islamic Front in Aleppo contained 3 Islamist Factions Ahrar al-Sham Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement and Jabhat Ansar Ash-Sham with the more moderate jaysh al Mujahideen joining in early 2016.

In Early November 2016 The Nour al-din al-Zenki Movement left after the Al Qaeda linked Jund al-Aqsa[27] Attacked one of there units in Aleppo as Jabhat Ansar Ash-Sham didn't come to there aid as Jabhat Ansar Ash-Sham was allied to Al-Qaeda and there Affiliated Groups in Syria.

On December 6th Jaysh al Mujahideen Left Due to The Fall of Allepo on December the 6th.

Meanwhile Ahrar al-Sham and Jabhat Ansar Ash-Sham remained active in the Allepo countryside The Islamic Front in Aleppo became Defunct on January 1st 2017 after the Death of Jabhat Ansar ash-Shams Emir Mohamud Ali.
