Is'phindiselo is a South African television drama series created and executive produced by Meren Reddy, Luke Rous and Joshua Rous. Produced by Rous House Productions, it is e.tv's first original series commissioned for the streaming service eVOD, and stars Zamani Mbatha, Baby Cele, Lindani Nkosi, Warren Masemola and Amahle Khumalo.[1]

Plot
[edit]The series, set against the backdrop of a corrupt construction company, follows Benny Ngwenya (Zamani Mbatha), a young highschool teen with aspirations. His father is a business partner with Vusimuzi (Lindani Nkosi). After a disagreement between the two, Vusimuzi orders a hit on him by his two sons Jerry (Warren Masemola) and Chris (Siya Raymond). Benny attempts to take his father to hospital, but is arrested and ultimately framed for his father's murder. He is imprisoned, trained by a ruthless mentor, and escapes from prison. After stumbling on a hidden treasure in a near death experience, he uses it to plan his revenge and clear his name, regardless of the casualties along the way.

[edit]The series premiered on the streaming service eVOD on 05 August 2021.[2] The series had its linear television debut on e.tv, on 03 April 2022.[3]
