interCAD is an electronic design automation (EDA) application that support to open various ECAD Tool design data, create executable file for distribution that contain viewer and design data, convert to other file formats. interCAD develpoed and sold by interxsoft Corp.
History
[edit]interCAD was first released in 2016 and it provided fucntions to create IXD file which contain design datas (schematic, layout) in one document that crated by various EDA software and create free distrubution EXE file that contain viewer and design data.
When sending and receiving free sharing EXE files as attachments, there was a problem with it being classified as spam emails so that files were not delivered to the recipient. To solve this problem, the interCAD Reader product was launched free in 2020 which can read IXD file.

[edit]- interCAD Editor: It is a viewer that can open design data (Schematic, PCB, Gerber) of various ECAD tools which is viewer software that support create executable file which contain viewer and design data, and a data conversion function.
- interCAD Reader: Free software that supports open and print Gerber files and IXD format files. By interCAD Reader, it can view, sign, collaborate and annotate Gerber and IXD data.
