Infrared are an alternative Indie Rock band formed in Manchester in January 2024. The band consists of Thomas Clark (Guitar, Bass and Vocals), Joe Tarry (Lead Guitar), Sam Eddleston-Rose (Bass and Guitar), Mattteo Tontodonati and Lucy Bevan (Lead Vocals).
The band formed when long time musical collaborators, Joe Tarry and Thomas Clark, decided to look for a new group to play with. Clark, frustrated with Dave Dobson in his previous set up, strived for a new opportunity, and spent the best part of a year with Tarry trying to find the right set up to start exploring new sounds. Sam Eddleston-Rose was sharing a house with Clark and joined the group on bass, before recruiting Bevan, a work colleague, on vocals. Matteo Tontodonati joined after the band reached out to him over Facebook.
The band played their first gig at Disorder Bar in Manchesters famous northern quarter to an immense response, and followed it up in May to a crowd of 70.
The band have previously mentioned their desire to release their debut album in early 2025.
