Indonesian Students Association in Aachen or also knows as PPI Aachen is a political, scientific, social and independent association of Indonesian students based in Aachen.
PPI Aachen consists of all Indonesian students studying in Aachen and surrounding cities, with more than 400 students from various educational institutions such as RWTH Aachen, FH Aachen, Freshman Institute, Pflegeschule Heinsberg, Internationale Hochschule, Katholische Hochschule, and Hochschule für Musik und Kunst. PPI Aachen's jurisdiction covers the districts of Aachen, Düren and Heinsburg. PPI Aachen was founded on May 4, 1956 at the same time as PPI Jerman. The first PPI Aachen was founded by Peter Manusama, with Liem Keng Kie as treasurer and the 3rd President of the Republic of Indonesia, B. J. Habibie as secretary while he was studying at RWTH Aachen. The first member representative assembly was held in 1957, where through elections, B. J. Habibie was elected chairman of PPI Aachen.
