The Ibero-American Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Services (AICO) is a private, international, non-profit entity that includes the most representative Chambers of Commerce from twenty-three Ibero-American countries,^[1] similar corporations, and companies. The decision to create the Association was made during the 1st Meeting of Ibero-American Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Associations, held in Mexico City in 1974, and its formal constitution took place in Madrid in 1975.^[2] AICO has worked tirelessly to strengthen business and trade ties in the region, facilitating economic development and investment both among Ibero-American countries and with non-regional countries that are part of it.

Mission and Objectives

The main objective of AICO is to foster sustainable economic growth and regional integration through international trade. The association aims to promote a favorable business environment, facilitate the exchange of information and best practices, and serve as a platform for collaboration between businesses and government agencies.^[3]

The Multilateral Chamber of Commerce and Cooperation Israel - Iberoamerica (CILIB) plays a crucial role in promoting trade between Israel and the Ibero-American countries. It facilitates the establishment of trade relations, identifies investment opportunities, and fosters collaboration in strategic areas such as technology, innovation, and agriculture. It has local representation in several countries in the Ibero-American region, including Spain, Portugal, and Costa Rica, among others.^[6]^[7]^[8]

Latin Chamber of Commerce of the United States (CAMACOL)

The Latin Chamber of Commerce of the United States (CAMACOL) is an organization that represents the commercial interests of the Latino community in the United States. Through its affiliation with AICO, CAMACOL seeks to strengthen commercial ties between the United States and the Ibero-American countries,

promoting fair trade and sustainable economic development.^[9]

Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB)

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) is an association that groups various chambers and commodity exchanges in Turkey. In collaboration with AICO, TOBB works to promote bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Turkey and the Ibero-American countries, identifying investment opportunities and facilitating trade exchanges.^[10]
