The fourth-generation iPhone SE (also known as iPhone SE 4) is an upcoming product in the iPhone line of smartphones made by Apple Inc. which will be released sometime in March 2025. This product will be shipped with either iOS 18, succeeding the third-generation iPhone SE.[1]
History
[edit]Rumors about a fourth-generation iPhone SE appeared since January 2022, two months before the release of the third-generation iPhone SE.[2]
Design
[edit]Display
[edit]The fourth-generation iPhone SE will have a 6.1" (15.5 cm) sized display similar to either the iPhone XR or the iPhone 14, with an all-screen design, which will become the first iPhone SE model without a home button. It might also have a LCD or an OLED display; this has not yet been determined.[1]
Touch ID
[edit]The fourth-generation iPhone SE will still have Touch ID, even though if it has a notch. Its sensor will move to the side button, which did it first to the tenth-generation iPad, sixth-generation iPad Mini, and fourth-generation iPad Air.[1]
Specifications
[edit]Chipset
[edit]The fourth-generation iPhone SE will either feature an Apple A15 or A16 system on a chip and a 5G modem, making it the first iPhone to have Apple-designed 5G modems, which will be manufactured by TSMC.[1]
Price
[edit]The fourth-generation iPhone SE will keep the same price tags as last year with its predecessor because the SE models have to be inexpensive. The possible hypothetical prices for the fourth-generation iPhone SE are listed below:
64GB: $429
128GB: $479
256GB: $579
Storage
[edit]The base storage capacity will start at 64GB, which is the same storage capacity as the third-generation iPhone SE.
Camera
[edit]The fourth-generation iPhone SE will have a 12MP camera with wide-angle lens, and it will get new features including Night Mode and Cinematic Mode.[1]
