ICYMI, an acroym for In Case You Missed It, is the third studio album by Irish musician Eden, released on 9 September 2022 through his own label MCMXCV. The album contains 11 tracks spanning approximately 39 minutes. The album is followed by the ICYMI World Tour[1], which features songs from the album along with his other popular hits, remixes and unreleased tracks.[2]
Background and recording
[edit]According to Ng, the title of the album came from him wanting to contemplate and reflect on old memories, from his desire to catalog past experiences, "I think it started from a point of wanting to catalog my experience and my life and the things that kind of, you know, you have these kinds of moments or memories that just burn into your brain and stick with you and wanting to catalog that.", Ng said.[3]. The album itself is about accepting the highs and lows of life and pushing the boundaries of music.[4]
The second single "Balling", Ng sings about the loss of friends and contemplates the idea of not being there for the people you love.[5]
Videos
[edit]Six music videos were released for "Modern Warfare", "Balling", "Sci-Fi", "Reaching 2", "Call Me Back" and "Closer 2" alongside with a tour video for "Waiting Room".
The music video for "Sci-Fi" was shot in Beirut, Lebanon[6], as well as "Balling", "Call Me Back" and "Reaching 2"[citation needed], and "Modern Warfare" was shot in Berlin, Germany.[citation needed]. The first three was released accompanying their corresponding singles, "Reaching 2" music video was released alongside the album and the last two being released a while after.
