Heikki Hallanoro (born June 6, 1980) is a Finnish composer and pianist. He composes minimalistic modern piano music. He is an artist of Mons Records, a German jazz/classical label that has released music among others Clark Terry (Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald) and Bob Mintzer (Buddy Rich, Tito Puente). Mons Records is releasing Soul Songs.[1][2] album series from him.
Heikki Hallanoro has composed music to various novels by Finnish authors (Jarmo Stoor, Essi Kummu, Harri István Mäki, Kari Sallamaa). He plays piano in the duo Latistajat with the author Jarmo Stoor. They have made music albums and singles to Stoor's novels and have performed couple times at Helsinki Book Fair.
Heikki Hallanoro is author of the novel Viivalla (2012, Nispero Publishing). Every chapter of the book has a song and novel comes with a music album Säveltar. Later another studio album, Huurrehelmet, was released to Viivalla.
Heikki Hallanoro plays drums in the band Plan E, in which all other band members are bass players, namely Jani Lehtosaari (ex-Impaled Nazarene), Ilari Kinnunen (Terveet Kädet) and Lene Leinonen (Terveet Kädet).
Heikki Hallanoro has a master's degree in astronomy.[3]
