Draft:Harry Potter and the Stone (2024)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Harry Potter and the Stone (2024) is a Harry Potter parody film created by YouTube Channel Doggie House in and around their college in Greensboro, North Carolina[1], and uploaded on July 20th 2024. The film is a shot-for-shot remake of Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone made completely from scratch including all of the CGI, VFX, animation, and modeling.[1]

Plot

[edit]

For the most part, the plot of Harry Potter and the Stone greatly follows that of the first Harry Potter film's, with some differences in dialogue and characters. For example, Professor Dumbledore now appears as two professors: 'Dumble' and 'Dore.'

Major differences do not appear frequently until the end of the film where Professor Snape convinces Professor Squirrel (Professor Quirrel from the original source) not to go ahead with his plans of killing Harry and helping Voldemort rise to power. Instead, Uncle Vernon fulfills this role. Instead of having Voldemort on the back of his head, concealed by a turban, he is concealed under his shirt on his stomach. Voldemort attempts to convince Harry to give him the stone but when he refuses Voldemort instructs Vernon to kill him. Harry touches Vernon's skin which burns him, turning him into ash.

During the end of year ceremony, Slytherin wins the House Cup before expelling Harry, Ron and Hermione for endangering the lives of everyone at Hogwarts. Professors Dumble and Dore state that "As much as I hate these three, I hate Slytherin even more," awarding 1000 points to Neville Longbottom for a "good grade on the spelling quiz." This places Griffindor above Slytherin, meaning they won the house cup. Professors Dumble and Dore then say "Now take down those fucking banners and replace them with my beloved red white and blue. Oh yes. America wins!" The film ends with Harry Potter being sent home by the Hogwarts Express, never to return again to Hogwarts, and Hagrid weeping as the screen fades to black.

Cast
