Haroon Rashid Khaja (born 3rd February 1978) is the founder of MSB (Muslim Students Board) and a prominent scholar from Kashmir. He was born in the village of Dowatpora, Chadoora Tehsil, Budgam district, in the Kashmir Valley.

Early Life and Education

Haroon Rashid Khaja was raised in a household known for its intellectual richness. His father, Ali Mohammad Khaja, was a well-known preacher of the منہج صحابہ and introduced this methodology in the region. He emphasized adherence to Shariah principles, which greatly influenced Haroon's upbringing.

After completing his initial education from local scholars in his village, he enrolled in the renowned Islamic institution الکلیۃ السلفیۃ in Mominabad, Batamaloo, Srinagar. Between 1991 and 1998, he completed an eight-year Shariah course and graduated with the شہادۃ العالیۃ الشرعیۃ with a grade of جید جدًا (Very Good). During this period, he also completed his matriculation and 11th-grade exams in contemporary education.

He then pursued further studies in Arabic literature at دار العلوم ندوۃ العلماء in Lucknow, UP. In 1999, Haroon received an acceptance from the esteemed جامعۃ الملک سعود in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In 2001, he graduated with شہادۃ الکفایۃ في اللغۃ العربیۃ (A+ grade) and continued his studies, earning a Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.Ed.) in Shariah sciences, specializing in فقه and اصول الفقه with مع الشرف الثاني (Second Class Honour) by 2006.

During his time at جامعۃ الملک سعود, Haroon Rashid Khaja participated in several courses, including:

Return to Kashmir and Educational Contributions

After completing his academic journey, Haroon Rashid Khaja returned to Kashmir, where he initiated several educational programs and participated in Da’wah activities. He worked tirelessly to guide people through Friday sermons and other religious events. In 2006, he introduced a unique educational program for educated youth, especially students, scheduled on Sundays and Fridays.

He established educational centers under the name ھیئۃ الطلاب المسلمین in Batamaloo, Chadoora, and Niwah Pulwama. The central office of MSB was established in Khwajapora, Nowgam, in 2009, which continues to provide education in Shariah and Arabic language to hundreds of students.

Educational and Da’wah Programs

Haroon Rashid Khaja launched various educational programs for children and youth, following the methodology of the منہج صحابہ and focusing on child psychology. Under his leadership, MSB initiated the Quranic Studies Chain and prepared a series of textbooks. So far, 18 books have been completed and are set to be published soon.

Haroon Rashid Khaja continues to serve in the field of education and Da’wah. His efforts in writing, teaching, and guiding the youth of Kashmir have had a significant and lasting impact. May Allah reward him and bless his knowledge.
