Submission declined on 4 June 2024 by Jamiebuba (talk). This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. Declined by Jamiebuba 6 months ago. |

HILT black light theater Prague is a Prague-based group of artists engaged in the creation of black light theatre.
About the group
[edit]The HILT Prague Black Theatre Prague.[1] was founded in 2006 by actor and dancer Theodor Hoidekr[2] and actress Štěpánka Pencová[3]. The theater group made their first public appearance in New Delhi, India in August 2007 at a promotional gala for Motorola, where they were joined by Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan.
The group consists mainly of black light theatre performances and, marginally, shadow theater. Performances are exclusively non-verbal, only dance and pantomime. Performances from their work emphasize contact with the viewer - HILT stands for Hoidekr Interactive Light Theater.
Over the years, the group has collaborated with well-known personalities, Iveta Bartošová and Karel Gott. In addition to performing in Czech cities and theaters, the group also went abroad - India, Poland, Slovakia, China and Guatemala. They won two awards at the World Theater Olympics in New Delhi and Mumbai[4]
HILT maintains a permanent stage with regular performances in Prague. Since the 1960s, this Czech capital has been considered the world home of the "black light theatre" genre. After the covid-19 pandemic, only 4 black light theatres out of the original 10 operate in Prague[5], and HILT black light theatre is one of them.
