Guman Singh Rajpurohit, the chieftain of Tinwari, was the son of Thakur Daulat Singh Rajpurohit. He served the state as Jagirdar of the Tinwari estate and Rajguru of the kingdom of Marwar from Maharaja Vijay Singh to Maharaja Man Singh. Due to the heroic qualities of his lineage, he was counted among the most respected and trusted Sardars of the Maharajas of Marwar.^[1]

March against Meer Khan Pathan

In 1815, the army of Nawab Mir Khan Pathan reached Mehrangarh Fort. During the war against Khan, Guman Singh of Tinwari was also injured by a bullet. However, showing his bravery and courage, he took out the dagger tied to his waist, attacked the enemies alone, and killed the main attacker.^[2] Tired and defeated, the enemies had to retreat. During this time, fighting bravely, he attained martyrdom while protecting the fort. Seeing his bravery and devotion, Maharaja Mansingh was overwhelmed and got him cremated in Rasolai Nadi at the foot of the fort. The memorial built there still describes the bravery, devotion, and valor of Guman Singh.^[3]
