Draft:Guardians of the North
Submission declined on 31 October 2023 by CurryTime7-24 (talk). This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

- Comment: Blockquote from the studio is not needed. Without it or any useful information from reliable sources to replace it, this draft is little more than a directory entry. CurryTime7-24 (talk) 22:10, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: I added references from additional independent reliable sources. Лисан аль-Гаиб (talk) 21:42, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: Two of the three footnotes here are content self-published by the show's own production studio and the network that aired it -- these do not help to build notability, as they are directly affiliated with the show and do not constitute independent third-party attention. And while the CTV News article is a start down the correct path, it isn't enough all by itself -- we require several sources of that calibre, not just one, before it can be claimed that this would clear our inclusion criteria. - Comment: There is currently a redirect from the title of this draft. If this draft is accepted, the redirect should be deleted, because the hatnote at the top of this page will take its place. You may ask about redirects and hatnotes at the Teahouse. The television series is produced in partnership with the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA), Muskoday First Nation Fire Department and Saskatchewan First Nations Emergency Management (FNEM), with support from Creative Saskatchewan.[1][2] The 6-part documentary series tells the story of those who respond to emergencies in one of the wildest, most remote regions of the world.[3][4][5]
Guardians of the North is a documentary series that follows wildland firefighters in Saskatchewan’s Indigenous and northern communities. The team sees themselves as Guardians, not just of human life, personal property, and natural resources, but also of traditional communities, hunting grounds, and a way of life.
