Gregory Gunter ors Greg Gunter, also known in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico as The Dream Pro,[1][2][3] is a real estate broker, international property specialist[4][5][6] business owner,[7] retail real estate developer,[8][9] author, and former architect. He is the Broker and Owner of the flagship office in Mexico for the real estate brokerage Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices (BHHS).[4][10][11][12][13][14]
Early life and education
[edit]Gunter received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arkansas in 1981. He completed his MBA in real estate and finance[4] from the University of Colorado in 1986.[15][16]
Career
[edit]In 1974, Gunter initiated his career as a home builder.[2][17][18]
After his M.B.A. from the University of Colorado, he worked for a quarter of a century in residential and commercial retail real estate. His career began as a residential architect for the Denver subsidiary of Arizona production home building company American Continental Homes, led by Charles Keating. He later transitioned to retail development with Vancouver-based Pan Pacific Development Company. After that Trizechahn Development, now known as Trizec Properties, he was on the development team responsible for landmark U.S. retail projects, including the Academy Awards venue Ovation Hollywood.[2][4][17][19]
He later co-founded San Diego-based retail development services firm 3rd Works.[8][20]
Gunter opened Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Colonial Homes San Miguel as Mexico’s first and flagship office for the Warren Buffett-led brand in 2020.[5][12][21]
He was named a RISMedia 2021 Real Estate Newsmaker.[2] He is one of the only two local Realtors chosen to represent San Miguel's Realtor market in the internationally published e-magazine Overseas Retirement Letter, a Live and Invest Overseas publication.[7][22]
Personal life
[edit]Since 2009, Gunter has resided in San Miguel de Allende.[2][4][12]
