Gordon Inglis (born 3 January 1947 in Edinburgh, Scotland) is a former Murrayfield Royals (196?-1966), Murrayfield Racers (1967-1984) and British Ice Hockey (1968/69-1971/72 and 1975/76) player[1]. He was awarded Best Defenceman[2] at the 1971 Ice Hockey World Championships - Pool C.
Ice Hockey Career
[edit]Gordon began his playing career at Murrayfield Ice Rink in the 1960s and joined the Murrayfield Royals. With the formation of the Northern League in 1966 the Royals changed their name to the Murrayfield Racers. Gordon won four consecutive British Championships in 1968/69, 1969/70, 1970/71 and 1971/72 as well as having won back-to-back championships in the 1979/80 and 1980/81 seasons.
After his playing career Gordon went on to coach junior level at Murrayfield Ice Rink as well as coaching U16 Scottish Ice Hockey.
