Gomez is an area of Florida bamed for a Spanish land grant.

He and Antonio Álvarez recorded an official account of promulgation of the East Florida Constitution of 1812 for governor Sebastian Kindelán.[2]

Gomez was involved in a Florida Territorial Court case that made its way to the U.S. Supreme Court.[3] The case involved a concession of 12,000 acres of land on Jupiter Island granted July 16, 1815.[4]
