The Glasgow University Judo Club is Scotland’s second-oldest university judo club, founded in 1953. The club has grown under coaches such as George Kerr, George McQuillan, and David Peden. It currently boasts over 200 members, making it one of the largest adult judo clubs in the UK.
With a strong competitive record, the club has won the British Universities Championships six times and achieved success at Scottish, British, Commonwealth, and World levels. In 2023, it celebrated its 70th anniversary with a reunion and gala.
