Giansandro Schina (Rome, February 3, 1974) is an Italian architect, manager, and entrepreneur.

Born in Rome, his education is deeply rooted in the cultural and academic environment of the city. He earned his degree in Architecture from the University of Rome and is a member of the Order of Architects, Landscape Architects, Planners, and Conservators of Rome..[1]

In 2005, he founded the 1•618® Group, named after the golden ratio of Leonardo Da Vinci. The group is a multidisciplinary company specializing in high-end ultra-luxury sectors including architecture, technology, communication & image, and energy.[2]

Career

Giansandro Schina is the founder, owner, and general manager of the 1•618 Group.

He has won the International Architecture Grand Prix twice.[3] [4][5][6]

Since 2023, he has been an ambassador for Mercedes-Benz and a central figure in AMG Stories, a project by the Stuttgart-based automaker.[7][8]

Previously, he served as both protagonist and ambassador for BMW, where he participated in the Sustainability Stories project, showcasing his extraordinary versatility and eclecticism.[9]

Schina's visionary design approach, which combines technical expertise and creativity, is evident in projects such as the luxury villa complex in Cortina, located in the heart of the Dolomites,[10] and the interiors of two 70-meter yachts designed for VSY (Viareggio Super Yachts). He collaborated with Renault, creating seven limited-edition models of the fully electric Twizy [11] [12] [13] [14], which were unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.

He has also worked on projects for a prominent international film producer [15], further solidifying his international reputation, and curated the unforgettable Pink Floyd Ballet evening at the Rome Opera House [16] [17].

Additionally, he oversaw the development of Rome's most significant renewable energy production facility [18]
