Georgios Kosmidis was the leader and founder of the paramilitary organization:National Union Of Greece, (Greek:Εθνική Ένωσις Ελλάδος)(ethniki enosi ellados) (Abbreviation:E.E.E). Most of his family members were killed in the Greco-Turkish war. After 1922 he escaped from Constantinople to Thessaloniki (due to Kemal's persecution of the Greek population in Turkish lands) soon after he arrived he created E.E.E which would later on deport 10.000 Jews to palestine in the pogrom of campbell. In 1936 when the desolation of the organization happened because of the 4th of August Regime or Metaxas's regime,he lived a peaceful life in the co-capital.In 1941 when the Axis entered the country the Organization E.E.E was re-founded,but it became a Collaborationist organization, and that's the reason Kosmidis departed from it.Although not joining,it didn't stop his son,John Kosmidis of becoming not just a member but one of its new leaders. After Kosmidis learned about his son's decision,he wrote to him that he didn't want to have anything to do with him.His death is still uncertain, with many historians saying that he killed himself so he wouldn't get captured by the Germans.Another theory coming from his today's supporters say that he either died in a Concentration camp in Poland or he died of old age a few years later.
