George William Norman (December 18, 1827-April 7, 1918) was a lawyer, public official, and state legislator in Arkansas.

He was born in Bibb County, Georgia.[1]

He lived in Union County, Arkansas before moving to in Hamburg, Arkansas.[2]He was a Democrat. He testified about the 1872 election.[3]

He married twice.[1] He wrote a letter to Harpers about German-Americans and described them as the most servile of Europeans.[1]

He was part of Arkansas' Constitutional Convention of 1868.[2] He was a director of the Mississippi River, Hamburg, and Western Railway.[4]

He had a son George[2] and another who become Dr. W. S. Norman was one of his children.[5]
