A gasket coil, also known as a buntline coil, is a type of knot made of rope and used for storage.
Construction
[edit]There are three steps to making a gasket coil. The first step is to, after coiling the rope, pass one end several times around the middle of the rope. The next step is to pull a bight of the end through the top half of the coil and over the top. The final step is to pull the bight down to the middle and tighten.[1]
