The Gallery Center is a mall in Lisle, Illinois. It originally opened in 1966 and currently has JCPenney, Kohl's, and Von Maur as anchors.
History
[edit]The Gallery Center opened it's doors on April 1966 with JCPenney, Carson Pirie Scott, Wieboldt's, and Montgomery Ward. Wieboldt's closed in 1987 and the space became Famous-Barr in 1988. Montgomery Ward shuts down in 2001 and the space became Lord & Taylor in 2002. Famous-Barr would close in 2004 and the space became a Kohl's in 2006. Lord & Taylor closed in 2010 and the space became Von Maur in 2014. Carson's shut down in 2018 due to Bon-Ton bankruptcy. In February 2024, Nordstrom announced plans to replace the former Carson's by the end of the year.
