From Me 2 U is the debut studio album by Nigerian singer Dare Art Alade, now known as Darey. It was released through Storm Records on 8 April 2006. The album features guest appearances from Jazzman Olofin, Alaye, Dekunle Fuji, Nathaniel Bassey, eLDee, Didge, Shirazi, Ikechukwu, KaBoom, Sasha P, D'Banj, Blackky, Ruggedman, the Franchize Strike Team, and The Chordwebs. The album was produced by Cobhams Asuquo, Don Jazzy, eLDee, and Tebogo Moloto.[1] '

Background

Dare Art Alade, born Oluwadamilare Art Alade, now popularly known as Darey, is a Nigerian R&B and soul singer. He was born on the 9th of February in 1982. He started out as a contestant on the 2004 edition of Project Fame Academy where he won third place.[2] ' He then got signed to Storm Records in 2006 and launched his debut album From Me 2 U.

Singles

The album's lead single "Escalade (As I Am)" won Best R&B Video at the 2006 edition of the Channel O Music Video Awards and the music video was released on 13 April 2008.[3] The second single "Original Naija" was used for the theme song for the first ever edition of Big Brother Naija.[4] The third single "Fuji (Dance)" features Dekunle Fuji and Ikechukwu and the music video was released in May of 2006. The fourth single "Young Man" features eLDee and KaBoom from the defunct music group Trybesmen and the music video was released in June of 2006.
