Firmanto Laksana adalah pengacara pada firma hukum Otto Hasibuan & Associates. Ia juga dikenal sebagai dosen di beberapa perguruan tinggi ternama, seperti Universitas Pelita Harapan, Universitas Gadjah Mada, dan Universitas Jayabaya, di mana ia bahkan dianugerahi gelar profesor kehormatan pada Juli 2024.
