Every year, the company runs a PhD scholarship[8] competition. One PhD student[9] can win £6,000[10] to go towards the cost of their postgraduate studies. You can self-nominate[11] online and must be starting your course in the autumn of the same year of the competition or the January of the following year.

The Postgrad Awards

[edit]

In 2019[12] the parent company of FindAPhD (FindAUniversity) launched The Postgrad Awards[13] to celebrate the achievements of students and staff in the postgraduate community.

The categories include:

  • PhD Student of the Year[14]
  • PhD Supervisor of the Year[15]

Winners are picked by a panel of judges from nominations sent in. You’re not allowed to self-nominate, someone has to nominate you. The nomination is done entirely online. Winners of the student categories can win a cash prize of £500.
