Submission declined on 25 September 2023 by Akevsharma (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Submission declined on 11 August 2020 by Calliopejen1 (talk). This appears to be an unedited machine translation of https://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrando_Exim%C3%A9nez_d%27Aren%C3%B3s. Per Wikipedia:MACHINETRANSLATION, an unedited machine translation is worse than not having an article. Please clean up the grammatical errors and ensure that the translation is correct before resubmitting. Errors I saw include: "Other sources give him married" "the Catalan Company of the East he left it" Declined by Calliopejen1 4 years ago. |

Ferrando Eximenez d'Arenos or Ferran Eiximenis d'Arenos (13th-14th centuries) was a Valencian nobleman of the Arenos lineage of Aragonese origin. He was the son of Blasco Eximenez de Arenos and Alda Ferrandis Aba-Omahet, daughter of Zayd Abu Zayd. He married Princess Theodora, a member of the Byzantine imperial family.
Biography
[edit]On 06 May, 1301 d'Arenos sold his possessions in Villamalur, Ayodar, and Torralba del Pinar. In 1303 he joined Roger de Flor's Catalan Company. While in the service of the Company, during the Anatolian campaign and after the Battle of the Cyzicus in October 1303, he temporarily left after a disagreement with Roger de Flor and passed into the service of the Duke of Athens, Guy II de la Roche.
After the assassination of Roger de Flor while attending a banquet organised by the Emperor in Constantinople, the Catalans ravaged Thrace for two years. With Ferran reincorporated into the Company as Captain Almogavar, d'Arenos helped capture several towns in Thrace, culminating with a victory in the siege of Maditos in 1306.
As Captain Almogavar, during the rivalry for the leadership of the Company between Berenguer d'Entenca and Bernat de Rocafort, he aligned himself with the first, and after his death, he fled to Constantinople, where he was granted the dignity of mega doux and married Theodora, princess of the imperial family. Some other sources mention his marriage with Maria Asenina of Constantinople, daughter of tsar Ivan Asen III of Bulgaria.
