Exodus is an upcoming science fiction role playing game developed by Archetype Entertainment and published by Wizards of the Coast. It is the first game to be developed by Archetype Entertainment since its founding in 2019.[1]

Exodus is set to release for PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S.[2]

Synopsis

[edit]

Exodus focuses on time dilation and the impact of player decisions over time. The game takes place in an original sci-fi world where players take control of the "Traveller", an individual tasked with exploring the galaxy in search of alien technology. Developers have commented that days from the players perspective can translate to decades passing for other chracters. [2]

Announcement

[edit]

Exodus was first announced during the Game Awards 2023 by Matthew McConaughey. McConaughey confirmed that he would be voicing a character in the game and introduced a cinematic trailer that explored the backstory of Tom Vargus, one of the games companion characters.[3]
