Overview

Headquartered in Targu Mures, Romania, Euro Gas Systems was founded in 2010 by Roger Wachter and Sorin Pastor. The company offers quality compression, power generation and Air Cooled Heat Exchangers (ACHE) to markets in the European Union, Middle East, Asia, Africa, and CIS (previously Soviet Union countries, including, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan) at competitive pricing EGS offers packaged gas compressors and packaging services for OEMs and end users owning existing equipment. With in-house design capabilities EGS offers tailored compression solutions. In addition to full compressor packages, EGS offers complete aftermarket support, including spare parts, start-up/commissioning support, and customer training programs for using and maintaining the purchased equipment. The company also offers re-packaging services for existing compressors and equipment that need to be modified to fit current field conditions. EGS works with its customers to ensure proper interface engineering support for installing the supplied equipment. Besides packaging of reciprocating gas compressors, EGS's product portfolio covers gas-to-power solutions for the oil and gas industry, air-cooled heat exchangers (ACHE), and pressure vessels with PED and ASME certifications. For its products, EGS provides TR CU certificates for the CIS markets and CE-marked certificates with compliance to ATEX, PED, Low Voltage, Electro-Magnetic Compatibility and Machinery directives for the European Union markets. All manufactured products are designed using Autodesk Inventor 3D modeling software. From the developed 3D model to actual production everything is carefully planned to avoid any production inefficiencies and ensure shortest lead times. EGS maintains standards in product quality, safety, and reliability. It has established an integrated management system incorporating several components like quality, environmental protection, occupational health and safety, and radiological security following ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018. The company is also certified for PED and ASME in manufacturing pressure vessels, depending on customer needs and specifications. EGS is an authorized packager for several compressor manufacturers. It is an official distributor and approved packager of Ariel Corporation, Platinum Solution Provider for Waukesha, and OEM for Caterpillar engines.

History

EGS became an official distributor and approved packager of Ariel Corporation in 2013 and OEM for Waukesha and Caterpillar engines in 2014. Starting in 2015, Euro Gas Systems added the screw compressor technology to the product offering, followed by, engineered Air Cooled Heat Exchangers (ACHE), with primary sales focus on the oil and gas industry. EGS expanded its Assembly Plant to double its original size, reaching 52,000 foot² (4,800 meter²) at the end of 2018. The same year, the company invested in a 17,000 foot² (1,580 meter²) fabrication shop for vessels, skids, and other weldments. In 2019, EGS released a customized gas engine-driven generator. In 2022, Euro Gas Systems established the Middle East and Africa Service and Training Center in Dubai's Jebel Ali Freezone. Moreover, the new facility started carrying Ariel and Waukesha spare parts inventory for the region.

In June 2023, EGS launched a new facility in Aberdeen, Scotland which is its headquarters for its centrifugal products division, EGS Turbines. In July 2023, EGS entered a joint venture agreement with Deep Industries to supply oil field equipment to the oil and gas industry. In February 2024, EGS added a new Welding/Fabrication Plant of 26,000 foot² (2,400 meter²) with the possibility of quadrupling this manufacturing space in the future.

EGS Services FZE EGS Services FZE is based in Dubai's Jebel Ali Freezone. It provides comprehensive maintenance and repair services for gas engines used in power generation, mechanical drives, and other applications. The experts at EGS Services FZE are fully trained and certified to service Waukesha or Caterpillar gas engines. They can handle scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs, conversions, modifications, and upgrades with efficiency and precision. The subsidiary also has offices in Kazakhstan (EGS Services KZE) and Azerbaijan (EGS Services AZE). EGS Services FZE (Training center) EGS Services FZE is EGS' training facility in Dubai that offers comprehensive training programs specifically designed for INNIO Waukesha Gas Engines and Ariel Compressors. Equipped with modern resources, it provides participants with hands-on experiences and in-depth knowledge in a conducive learning environment. EGS uses the combined capabilities of all company entities to assist new and existing customers globally from its facilities in Romania, Aberdeen, Dubai, Kazakhstan, and Nigeria. The head office for EGS Turbines Ltd. is its Aberdeen facility. This division operates as part of the EGS Group of Companies to service and supply the gas turbines, turbomachinery, and rotating equipment. It also provides cleaning solutions for any gas turbines, turbomachinery, and rotating equipment in collaboration with several of the market leaders in this sector.
