Ethan Rutherford (b.1979) is an American short story writer, novelist and essayist. His writing has appeared in Best American Short Stories, Time Magazine, One Story, BOMB, American Short Fiction and Tin House. His collections of short stories include The Peripatetic Coffin and Farthest South.
A Professor of Creative Writing[1] at Trinity College in Connecticut, Rutherford was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction (LA Times Book Award) and John Leonard Prize and CLMP's Firecracker Award. He's also received honorable mention for the Pen/Hemingway Award and was noted as one of Barnes & Nobles Discover Great New Writers selections.
