Emir Beganovic (born 16 February 2008) is a Swedish and Bosnian football player who is set to play as a defender for Åtvidabergs FF, also known as ÅFF.
Club Career
[edit]Beganovic plays as a winger and had Hjulsbro IK as his parent club. For the 2023 season, Beganovic joined Stångebro United BK as part of their U16 team. He moved clubs in 2024 to Hemgårdarnas BK, where he was one of the star players on the U17 squad. Along with playing on the youth team, he was also given the opportunity to be part of the A team.[1] After an impressive year, it was announced that Beganovic would be playing as a defender for the Swedish club Åtvidabergs FF in 2025. At just sixteen years old, he will have played for two different professional clubs.[2]
Pierre Johansson, the ÅFF sporting director, commented on the signing of Beganovic: "[Beganovic is] a future player who has already played senior football and who has impressed in training with us. We see great potential in Emir and believe he will grow big in our environment. We want to be the natural choice for local talent and we see it as very positive that Emir chose to come to ÅFF on a long contract. As a player, he is a game-skilled and technically skilled winger with a nice foot."[3]
Personal Life
[edit]Beganovic was born in Linköping, Sweden. His parents emigrated to Sweden from Bosnia and Herzegovina before he and his brother were born. His brother Dino is a professional race car driver, currently competing in Formula 2 and in the Ferrari Driver Academy.[4]
