Egidio Carbone, known professionally as Egidio Carbone Lucifero (born 24 December 1977) is an Italian playwright, director and actor . He has written and directed works for both theater and cinema. He theorized the Attore Costitutivo: An interdisciplinary research on representation. He officially presented his theory in 2013 at the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Federico II in Naples, Italy and later at the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, Italy. This was followed by presentations at the Polytechnic University of Milan in 2016 and in many other cities in Italy and abroad. He founded and directs the Avanposto Numero Zero in Naples., Theatre, Naples Italy.[1]

Biography

Egidio was born on December 24, 1977, in Eboli, Italy, a place near the city of Naples, where he grew both personally and professionally. An Italian playwright, director, and actor active in theater and cinema. He theorized the Attore Costitutivo, an experimental interdisciplinary study on representation, a scientific-artistic research that connects the behavior of the character with the essence of material.

Promoted and supported by the Università Federico II in Naples, he officially presented the Theory of the Constitutive Actor for the first time on May 8, 2013, at the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Engineering, where he studied.

In 2005, he published Transiti, io me stesso e confine di me, his first publication and official theatrical staging. In 2007, he published La Bufaliera, a one-act play first staged in 2008. La Bufaliera debuted at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples in 2010, with original music by Eugenio Bennato. The play was later translated into Arabic, published, and staged in Egypt at the request of Mohamed Salmawy. Subsequently, translations were made into Russian and English, for dissemination in Russia and the USA, respectively.[2]

Egidio Neapolitan playwright, director and actor. Active in theater and cinema. It is formed among the benches of faculty of Engineering of the Federico II University of Naples, frequents some theater companies of Salerno and Naples, he meets Enzo Moscato, a master of life. He created the Theory of the Attore Costitutivo "http://www.unina.it/-/1342481-a-ingegneria-l-attore-costitutivo-di-egidio-carbone", a stage representation built on the affinities between constitutive links of inert matter and the way of being of a character on stage. In 2002 he wrote and staged Gocce di Cicuta. In 2005 he published I, myself and the border of me (Ripostes Edizioni, Preface by Gennaro Colangelo, LUMSA Rome), a one-act performance of which he staged involving two others actors. In 2005 he assisted in the Artistic Direction of the Teatri del Mare festival at the Bertoni theater in Battipaglia (SA), meets Enzo Moscato. In 2007 he published La Bufaliera (Falco Editore, Preface Livio Sossi, University of Trieste), a single act with eight actors on stage which debuted for the first time in 2008 at the Garofalo Theater in Battipaglia (SA). The three performances scheduled at the Battipaglia theater record the sale of all tickets and enthusiasm among the public. This is followed by performances in provincial theaters and theaters scenic presentations of the text affect the majority of Italian provincial capitals. In the 2009 meets the Egyptian playwright Mohamad Salmawy. Two reruns of the show come hosted by the Teatro delle Arti of Salerno, two other performances at the Teatro Augusteo of Salerno recording, in both cases, still a sold out audience. In 2010 La Bufaliera replied to the San Carlo Theater in Naples once again registering a full audience. In 2011, Mohamed Salmawy takes care of the translation of La Bufaliera into Arabic and the publication which has an excellent reputation diffusion. Mohamed Salmawy decides to publish La Bufaliera in scenes on the prestigious newspaper Al-Ahram, published in Arabic, English and French, of which he is the director. In 2018 it is represented at the Teatro Avanposto numero Zero in Naples with the unreleased music of Eugenio Bennato. In 2019 The Bufaliera is translated into (American) English. From 2011 to 2013 the Faculty of Engineering of the Federico II University of Naples hosts the activities of interdisciplinary research on the Constituent Actor. In 2013 Egidio Carbone Lucifero presents for the Theory of the Constituent Actor to the public for the first time in the Aula Magna of Piazzale Tecchio a Naples. With him, among others, Eugenio Bennato, Prof. Luciano Nunziante (Full Professor of Science of Construction - Engineering - Federico II), Francesco Paolantoni. In 2014 the Actor theory Constitutivo is presented in the Sala del Toro Farnese of the National Archaeological Museum of Naples with, among others, Enzo Moscato, Eugenio Bennato, Prof Luciano Nunziante, Prof. Massimiliano Fraldi (Inelastic Calculus – Engineering - Federico II), Salvatore Cantalupo, Francesco Paolantoni. In 2016 the theory of the Constitutive Actor was presented at the Politecnico di Turin. In 2014 the international preview of Guado at the Cinema Metropolitan of Naples, the first work of the Transcendences trilogy in which Egidio Carbone Lucifer experiments with the Constitutive Actor at the cinema. Original Soundtrack by James Senese. With Ernesto Maieux, Salvatore Cantalupo, Patrizio Rispo, Francesco Paolantoni and the participation of James Senese, Enzo Gragnaniello and Eugenio Bennato. In 2016 the international premiere of Caligo at the Metropolitan cinema in Naples, the second work of the Transcendences trilogy in which Egidio Carbone Lucifer experiments with the Constitutive Actor at the cinema. With Angela Pagano, Mariano Rigillo, Antonio Casagrande. In 2021 the international premiere of The Mystery of Nylon, the third work of the trilogy Transcendences in which Egidio Carbone Lucifer experiments with the Constitutive Actor at the cinema. In 2015 he founded Teatro Avanposto Numero Zero in via Sedile di Porto, 55 in the historic center of Naples. The small theater room is the place where research on the Constituent Actor finds its home. 2016 it is the year of the first independent theater season of the soon-to-become avant-garde space reference point. In 2018 he founded Bottega C, the annual workshop on the Constitutive Actor at the Avanposto Theater Numero Zero leading alongside Enzo Moscato. In 2018 he worked on the private archive of Gennaro Vitiello, edited the publication of La Magia della butterfly (GM Press). The first Italian translation of El maleficio de la mariposa by Federico Garcia Lorca by Gennaro Vitiello with prefaces by Paolo Puppa, Giovanni Girosi, Davide Maria Avecone, Pasquale De Cristoforo. In 2020 he presents to the public, with Enzo Moscato, Necessary Contagion at the Peace Museum in Naples in via De Pretis. A public seminar on the Constituent Actor. For the last two years he has been working on his feature film: La Bufaliera which will be on screens soon. Establishes the Constitutive actor's laboratory in the Avanposto Numero Zero Theater in Naples (NA) Performs Theater Workshop applying the Theory of the Constitutive Actor with groups of immigrants, It takes the theater outside the walls, reaching the peripheral areas less supported by art and culture culture, He works with students at all levels of school (from nursery to secondary school) bringing the instrument of theater as a universal language; participates as a trainer in the workshops schools in the outskirts of Naples and Salerno and brings the Theory of the Constitutive Actor to schools throughout Italy.[1]

Egidio Carbone brings Vito Carnale to the stage, in Venice on 28 June 2024 and subsequently, from 29 June and throughout July, he will be present with his one-act opera at the Théâtre de la Porte Saint Michel, in the historic Avignon festival,[7] "La Bufaliera", a one-act theatrical drama presented at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples in 2010. In 2024 it will become the Director's first feature film.[8]
