Efi Xanthou is a Greek Cypriot green politician born March 30, 1981 in Melbourne. She is a Member of the Cyprus Greens since 2009. Efi Xanthou repatriated to Cyprus in 1989 and settled initially in Kalopanagiotis Marathasa and later in Agioi Trimithias, Nicosia. She is now residing in Aglantzia.

Efi Xanthou attended Eniaio Lykeio Kykkou A in 1999. She studied Political Sciences at the University of Cyprus in 2004, and attained a Master's Degree in Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from CIIM - Cyprus International Institute of Management in 2015.
Political Career[edit]
Xanthou has been a member of the Central Committee of Cyprus green since 2003. She was elected as a second Vice President in 2015 to 2018. In 2018, she was elected as the Vice President of the Party until the end of her term in 2021.[1]
Efi Xanthou was Parliamentary Assistant fro the Cypriot Green Party for 14 years in the period 2009 to 2023. She was responsible of creating and submitting legislative proposals, representing the Green Party to parliamentary committees, with a focus on issues dealing with Finances, Commerce, Interior Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Local Authorities, Public Services.
She was a member of the Political Committee as Secretary of International Relations, developing European activity representing the Movement in international conferences and regular conferences of the European Green Party since 2003.
She was a councillor in the Municipality of Aglantzia from 2007 to 2011, and she run as a candidate for Mayor of Aglantzia in 2016 [2] and in 2020[3].
In November 2023, she run for presidency for the Green Party.
Other Activities[edit]
Her personal interests include gardening, listening to and performing music, reading books and photography.[1] Her goal is the protection of the environment, gender empowerment, the protection of the weak and the fight against corruption. She loves music, photography and walking in nature.
