Effium people, known and referred to locally as Uffiom are an Orrin component of Ebonyi State in Ohaukwu LGA  in southeastern Nigeria. Effium people are located in Ebonyi North senatorial district with Boundaries with Izzi in the East, Ngbo in the South, Agila in the West, and Idoma in the North.  They speak the Kuffiom language. Other Effium people languages are spoken by related groups, including the Amuda, Okpoto some groups in Benue (such as Ufia,  The Effium people have lived closely with the nearby Izzi, Ngbo, Agila, Idoma people of southeastern and middle belt Nigeria. The Effium people are best known for their culture and tradition.[1] The Effium people best cultural identity and notable one which includes: 1. Mujojo, Ogba idua, Joha, ijase ituo, igwuolo, and more as a part of the tradition.
