Political Career

[edit]

Eddie was a self professed "Bernie Bro" who was a volunteer for Bernie Sanders during his 2020 run for president.[13] Eddie later became disillusioned with the Democrat Party. His left wing views lead him to the ideals of anti-imperialism and socialism. He began posting videos in 2020 on TikTok relating to Marxism, Capitalism and Anti-Imperialism. His videos were formatted in an educational manner to those who may be unfamiliar with his beliefs. His original TikTok was banned at 370,000 followers along with Another at 120,000, [14] his current TikTok has nearly 300,000 followers and over 21 million likes. [15] His Youtube where he posts longer form content including discussions, debates and book reviews has 51,000 followers[16] Eddie has debated several notable online figures such as Vaush and Destiny (streamer) he was also featured on the "Would America Be Better Under Communism? | Middle Ground" Jubilee Media video. On July 21st 2024 Eddie along with other social media personalities Jackson Hinkle and Haz Al-Din[17] launched the American communist Party(ACP) an organization describing itself as "anti-woke" and largely appealing to more conservative values while pushing Marxism-Leninism. Eddie has been described as part of the "left-tube" youtubers blowing up the "Alt-Right" pipeline.[18] Social Media influencers like Hasan Piker and Eddie[19] are part of the reason that 52% of Gen Z (18-24) in the US view socialism positively.[20]
