ELKO (Icelandic: [ɛl̥kouː]) is an Icelandic consumer electronics and home appliance retail chain. It operates five locations in Iceland, three in the Capital Region, one in Akureyri and one in the Keflavík International Airport.[1] ELKO is the Icelandic variant of the Nordic Elkjøp chain, which operates various retail chains across the nordic countries.[2] The first store was opened in 1998 and is currently become the largest electronics retailer in the country.[3]

ELKO is a subsidiary of holding company Festi hf. which aquired majority stake in 2018, joining with the supermarket chain Krónan, the petrol station and automotive service company N1 and the warehouse service Bakkinn Vöruhótel.[4] In 2023 the company employed around 220 people.[3]
