Dynatone (Dynatone Corp.) is a digital piano manufacturing company in South Korea.

Overview

Starting as the electronic musical instrument division of KEC, it is the first company in Korea to produce electronic musical instruments. The head office is located at 288 Digital-ro, Seoul, Guro-gu. The manufacturing plant (smart factory) and research center are located at 145, 1gongdan-ro, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Gumi-si.

History

1969 Established with KEC and Dynaton's predecessor, Toshiba Korea Co., Ltd.
1972 Establishment of Korea Television Co., Ltd.
1974 Company name changed from Toshiba Korea Co., Ltd. to Korea Electronics Co., Ltd.
1981 Korea Television Co., Ltd. was absorbed and merged and the company name was changed to Korea Electronics Co., Ltd.
1984 KEC Establishment of a comprehensive research center
1987 Started production of Korea’s first electronic instrument ‘DYNATONE’
1994 Production exceeded 5 million units of electronic musical instruments
1995 Development of sound source IC for digital piano

Electronic keyboard supplied to Samsung Electronics (DYNATONE BRAND)

1996 Acquired the electronic musical instrument business division of LG Electronics

Relocation of production base to Gumi-si, establishment of electronic musical instrument research center
