Durham University Archaeology Society
[edit]The Durham University Archaeology Society (colloquially known as DUAS or ArchSoc) is Durham University's student run society concerned with the promotion of archaeology, and aims to encourage a community of students interested in the discipline. They run a variety of academic lectures and fieldtrips, along with social events such as balls, quizzes, and welfare sessions.[1]
The society is independent of the Department of Archaeology at Durham[2], and is a group within the Durham Students' Union. It is run by an executive committee, led by a president, who are elected by the society membership once every academic year.
