In August 1990, a record store opened on Yonge Street in Toronto,Canada that began providing source material to college radio disc jockeys and local DJs who were spinning new sounds in the underground music scene. The founder Eugene Tam's  hard to find vinyl kept the shelves stocked with albums patrons could use. Play de Record store soon became the place where curated Dance music and the other sub-genres emerged helping the Hip-Hop and Electronic culture to flourish. Today its impact on Toronto & greater Canada is recorded. This is the story of Play De Record.
