Doug Showalter is an American music producer and songwriter known for his work on records by Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus, 30 Seconds to Mars, Smokey Robinson, Dean Lewis, and Mikky Ekko[1][2]. He is also known as a producer and former member of Cam's touring band.[3][4][5]
Career
[edit]Showalter graduated from Indiana University Kokomo with a major in Communication Arts and a minor in Fine Arts in 2005.[6]
Showalter was Cam's downstairs neighbor in Los Angeles and was hired to join her touring band.[7] He recorded guitars on Cam's 2015 country hit single "Burning House" [8] and performed the song with her band on Good Morning America.[9][10] He later co-produced three songs on her 2020 album The Otherside.[11][12]
Also in 2020, Showalter co-produced Lennon Stella’s “Goodnight”, the closing track of her Three. Two. One. album,[13] as well as a remix of "Goodnight" for her Three. Two. One. (Alternate Versions) EP under the pseudonym DYRTYBRD.[14]
In 2022, Showalter contributed to three songs for Harry Styles' album Harry's House[15], including electric guitars and percussion programming for lead single "As It Was"[16][17]
In 2023, Showalter contributed keyboards to Miley Cyrus' hit single "Flowers".[18]
In 2024, Showalter co-produced “Down The River” for alternative metal band Nothing More.[19]
