Introduction

Chaudhary Dori Lal Verma was a prominent person from the Jat community in India. The title Chaudhary is commonly used as a prefix by the Jat race in India. He played an active role in the upliftment of this community. This page is meant to provide information about him for future reference for interested people. Much of the information here is sourced from his autobiography "Meri Jeevan Yatra" and translated to the English language.


Early Life

Chaudhary Dori Lal Verma was born in the village Chatti Ka Nagla (also called Nagla Chatti) which is an offshoot of village/small town called Bisawar in Hathras district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The title Chaudhary is commonly used as a prefix by the Jat race in India.

His early schooling was in the village school in Bisawar and he went for higher education to the cities of Mathura and Agra.

Family

He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
