Early Life and Career
[edit]Dexter Johnson was born in 1998 in Seattle, WA. He showed an early interest in the performing arts, particularly theater. Dexter Johnson began acting at a young age and was involved in various local productions throughout childhood.
The 5th Avenue Theatre
[edit]In 2011, Dexter Johnson gained recognition for his role in the "A Christmas Story: The Musical!" at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle.[1] As a child actor, he performed alongside seasoned professionals, receiving attention for his talent and dedication and originating the role of Flick in the musical production. The 5th Avenue Theatre, known for its high-quality productions[2], provided Dexter Johnson with a platform to showcase his abilities.
Cast Recording
[edit]During the 2011 production at the 5th Avenue Theatre, a cast recording was made to preserve the performances and music of the show. The music for this production was composed by the acclaimed songwriting duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
