Devon Cushing (born July 3, 2002) is an American aspiring chemist and SkillsUSA Post National Region II Vice President. He is known for his leadership within the SkillsUSA program, where he has served as a local, state, and national officer. Cushing has been an advocate for STEM education and technical training, promoting career readiness and workforce development. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Columbus State University and plans to further his education by obtaining a Ph.D. in Chemistry.

Cushing was born and raised in Bangor, Maine. He attended Troup High School, where he excelled academically and participated in extracurricular activities, including the SkillsUSA program. Throughout high school, Cushing developed a passion for science, particularly chemistry, and was actively involved in SkillsUSA leadership roles. His dedication to both education and leadership earned him recognition and opened doors for future opportunities.

After high school, Cushing continued his education at Columbus State University, where he is working towards his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. He remains an active member of SkillsUSA, where he has served as a local officer, a state officer, and National Region II Vice President. His leadership work includes organizing events, advocating for STEM education, and mentoring younger students in technical fields.

Devon Cushing's leadership journey began in high school when he joined SkillsUSA, a nationwide organization dedicated to career and technical education. Over the years, Cushing rose through the ranks, eventually serving as a local officer, state officer, and national officer. His involvement in SkillsUSA has allowed him to advocate for STEM education, career readiness, and technical training, helping to promote workforce development opportunities for young people across the United States.

In 2020, Cushing achieved a significant milestone when he was elected as the Post National Region II Vice President for SkillsUSA. In this national leadership role, he has been instrumental in organizing leadership events, workshops, and competitions while representing the interests of students in his region. His work in this role focuses on encouraging students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields, and to gain hands-on skills that will serve them throughout their careers.

Alongside his leadership in SkillsUSA, Cushing is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Columbus State University.
