Doctor Dayal Mavjibhai Parmar (Dayal Muniji) is Sanskrit teacher, Doctor and professor in Ayurvedic medicine, Author, translator, VedaBhashyaKar. He did Himalayan task of translating all four Vedas into Gujarati from Sanskrit. He is an author of more than 50 books. He wrote eighteen texts books and reference books on Ayurveda, approved by Gujarat Ayurvedic university. He gave 20 (twenty) years of free honorary service in Ayurvedic clinic, at Aryasamaj Tankara. Many of his articles are published in current papers, weekly, fortnightly and monthly magazines and broadcasted on radio also. He was awarded India's fourth highest civilian award the Padma Shri in 2024.
Early life[edit]
Vaidya Dayal Parmar completed his primary education in 1947 at Tankara. He served as Sanskrit teacher in Maharshi Dayanand Vividhlaxi Vidyalaya at Tankara as he was Sanskrit Parangat. He joined Ayurvedic education, B.S.A.M. course at Maharshi Dayanand Ayurved Mahavidyalaya at Tankara and he completed this course from Shri Gulabkuvarba Ayurved Mahavidyalaya in 1968.
Career[edit]
After completion of internship he joined as demonstrator in Shri Gulabkuvarda Ayurved Mahavidyalaya. Vaidya Dayal Parmar has served as Head Of Department in Kayachikitsa in Shri Gulabkuvarba Ayurved Mahavidyalaya Jamnagar till his retirement.
Personal life[edit]
Born to Mother Monghiba and father Mavjibhai in a lower middle class tailor family residing at Tankara, a rural area of Gujarat.
Vaidya Dayaljibhai Parmar married with Vasantkumari . His son Bharatbhai Parmar has settled at Baroda. His daughter Bharatiben got married and settled at Jamnagar. His grandson Dhaval is settled at Baroda and he is a TV news reader.

Contribution in literature[edit]
Vedabhashya[edit]
Divine Vedas , which are the greatest collection of wisdom, from the beginning of the universe. For Mankind, Vedas are the source of knowledge for all eternity. Vedas were available in Sanskrit and Hindi language, but were not in Gujarati. There are total more than twenty thousand mantras of the four Vedas,and more than seven lakh words. The Bhagiratha work of translating all 4 Vedas in Gujarati language, is done by Sanskrit expert Dayal Parmar.
The Vedas were translated into Gujarati and presented to the people of Gujarat in eight parts. Due to which the Gujarati people got the opportunity to know the Vedas.

Ayurveda literature[edit]
Shri Dayal Muniji has also done tireless service in Ayurveda. He was a professor of Ayurveda College, Jamnagar as well as a very high level writer and researcher. He has written 18 (eighteen) texts of Ayurveda. All those texts are recognized as reference books by the University of Ayurveda eg Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita etc. After completing important texts like Madhavnidan, detailed interpretations have been written on those texts. No one has written such an explanation on Charaka Samhita till date. He has written interpretations on texts such as kaychikitsa, Shalya vijyan, Rog vijyan, Swastha Vrut etc. Due to which Gujarat Ayurveda University, Jamnagar conferred on him the honorary title of D.Lit, degree of literature (Ayurveda). He was also honored with the Ayurveda Chudamani Award. In 2015.

Message of Aryasamaj, Mahabharat to Maharishi Dayanand, Shining flow of Satyarth Prakash, Hindu unity, First step on the path of revolution, origin of Vedic religion, Aryavir song collection, Dayanand Stavan, books on Swami Dayanand's Life etc. have been written. Satyarth Prakash, Rigvedadi Bhasya Bhumika, Sanskar Vidhi, and all four Vedas were translated and edited (total twenty two books ) in Gujarati.
