David Nour is an American author, motivational speaker, and leadership consultant. He is the author of twelve books, translated in eight languages including Relationship Economics[1], Curve Benders[2] and Co-Create[3]. The key theme of Nour's writing discusses the significance and impact of relationships in business, drawing on his commercial and academic work in this space.

Early career

Nour graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in business management. He went on to work in sales at Silicon Graphics (SGI), before moving into consulting. He worked for Kforce Consulting as CRM Practice Director before moving to Pequot Capital, the multibillion dollar hudge fund sponsor that closed in 2010. He earned an Executive MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.

Writing and public speaking

In 2008, Nour published Relationship Economics[4]: Transform your Most Valuable Business Contacts into Personal and Professional Success. The book was subsequently updated and republished in 2011[5] and 2023[1] where notably the challenges and opportunities of post pandemic business relationships are discussed.

Nour also authored Co-Create[3], (2017) and Curve benders[2], (2021). He also co-authored Connectability: 8 keys to building strong partnerships with your colleagues and your customers[6], with David Ryback and Jim Cathcart in 2010

Nour's work on mentoring has been published in the Harvard Business Review.[7] He is an Adjunct Professor at Emory University Goizueta Business School, where he teaches strategy visualization, cultural transformation, digital disruption and forward-thinking governance in the Executive Education program.

Awards and recognition

In 2019, Nour was recognized by Global Gurus[8], as a Top 30 Leadership Speaker, alongside Tony Robbins, James (Jim) Collins, and Simon Sinek. In 2021, Nour was recognized by Thinkers50[9] Radar Class of 2021.

Personal life

Born in Iran, Nour immigrated to the U.S. as a teenager with $100, limited family ties. At the time, he had only a basic understanding of English.
