This event involves an 80-mile paddling journey from the Bimini Islands in the Bahamas to Lake Worth, Florida. The event raises awareness and funds for cystic fibrosis, leveraging the therapeutic benefits of ocean salt water for those with the disease. Budyka has trained extensively for this challenge, often in the waters of Lake Erie, despite the inherent risks and challenges of open water paddling. Daniel participated as a Prone Paddler, where you lay on your stomach and use your arms to propel you forward.
