Dani Pagliarello is an award-winning actor, producer, director and two-time Canadian Screen Award nominee. She has written, directed, produced and starred in 4 comedy series: Food n' Money (2016), Shitty Roommate (2020), THE DROP (2023) and Trauma Bonding (upcoming)[1] where she also served as show-runner.

Daniela is an alumna of the Women in the Director's Chair program.[2] She is currently producing her next comedy series, Trauma Bonding, alongside long-time collaborator Elizabeth Yake of True West Films.[3]

Education

She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from York University's Acting Conservatory and garnered accolades for her contributions to Toronto's theatre scene. She has featured in a number of critically-acclaimed plays, including Bertolt Brecht's The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui for which she received a My Theatre Award nomination for her portrayal of Ui.[4]

Career

She has had acting roles in multiple TV shows including Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale (TV series), in Netflix's Luckiest Girl Alive and Paramount+'s upcoming Cross.

Through THE DROP, Dani earned five Canadian Screen Award nominations at the 12th Canadian Screen Awards, including Best Series and Best Lead Performance in Web Program or Series[5] and she won Best Comedy Director at Rio Webfest. THE DROP premiered at Hollyshorts Film Festival and won Best Toronto Series at T.O. WebFest.[6]
