Cowikee creek is a small river located in Barbour County, Alabama its source is south west of Hurtsboro, Alabama. Lakepoint park is located near the mouth of Cowikee state creek. Cowikee creek has 3 main branches the south branch,middle branch and north branch. It floes into the Walter F. George Lake. The area around modern day Cowikee creek was inhabited by the creek tribe of native American's. settlers moves in, around 1834.
