Coris an American basketball coach who is the head men's basketball coach at his alma mater Marshall University. Prior to replacing Dan D'Antoni in 2024, he had been an assistant at Marshall since 2017.
Playing Career
Jackson attended Oak Hill High School in Oak Hill, West Virginia. Jackson won the Bill Evans Award as the West Virginia High School Player of the Year in 1996, his senior season[1]. After high school, Jackson enrolled at the University of Tennessee and played his freshmen season for the Volunteers[2]. Following his freshman year, Jackson transferred to Marshall. Jackson was the starting point guard and team captain for three years between 1998 and 2001. Jackson had career averages of 10.2 points and 6.2 assists at Marshall. He is currently 4th all-time in career assists at Marshall.[3]
Following graduation, Jackson was drafted by the Roanoke Dazzle in the 8th Round of the 2001 National Basketball Development League (the precursor to the G League).[4] Jackson would never appear in a game for the Dazzle, instead opting to play overseas in Germany and Austria for two years.[5]
